Ko San Road
Ko San Road is a short street just over 400 meters long. Over the last two-and-a-half decades, the street has developed into a famous backpackers’ location. With a variety of cheap hostels/hotels, street stalls, bars, clubs and many shops, this makes this road an ideal place for a traveler.
Due to its popularity, it has grown and expanded. Soi Rambutri is a close by road; it is just a five-minute walk away from its sister street. Although famous for backpackers, this street has attracted more types of people over the recent years. Many expats living in Bangkok also visit here as well as locals usually coming here for a quick drink after work. This is a great place to meet people from all over the world, because everyone here is friendly and looking forward to experiencing new cultures. This is also a great place to book trips to other destinations in Thailand. There are cheap hotel and hostel deals, and the travel agents will also keep you up-to-date on all the latest visa information and help you with almost anything travel-related. The shops found here sell a lot of different things such as CDs, DVDs, handicrafts, paintings, clothes and food and drinks famous in throughout Thailand. At night, the street gets very busy — more bars and clubs start to open by this time. Expect bumping into a lot of drunk people, but don’t worry. They are usually just enjoying themselves and mean no harm. TIPS
