Rainy Days
Ideal weather during vacations can be summed up in one word: sunny. If it’s rainy, we often consider our vacations ruined. In actuality, there are a lot of things we can do even if the skies aren’t friendly. When Vacationing in Bangkok, one must always anticipate the unpredictability of the weather in this tropical country. An extremely sunny and humid morning will almost always result to an afternoon of rain - sometimes showers, oftent a heavy downpour. Regardless of season, rains are expected after an extremely hot and humid day.
The average annual amount of rainy days reach up to 88 days with the month of September as being the most rainy and December as being the least. After all, dry periods in Bangkok stretch from December to February. On the contrary, expect increasing regularity of rains starting May and culminating in September.
Rest assured, the city has already adjusted to this yearly task of anticipating the weather and has found ways to offer entertaining indoor activities during these long stretches of drizzles or downpours.
