Although Miami doesn't have a Rockefeller Center, an ice-covered pond, or even a college ice hockey rink. The Kendall Ice Arena more than makes up for it with its state of the art ice skating technology. The neighborhood rink, a local fixture since 2000, offers open skating every night (hours vary), so you can bring your friends and family to a couple of hours of fun gliding through the chilly arena. They also have great music playing at a good volume with top hits that keeps the skaters going. Entrance fee typically runs $8, plus $3 for skate rental, which is a smaller amount than a swill at most Miami Beach saloons. If you head there Friday or Saturday night when the DJ is spinning, you'll be transported back to your adolescent years. Kendall Ice Arena has a lot of potentials if you get there in person. This popular attraction boasts of more than 20 eye-opening themed galleries and hundreds of mind-blowing artifacts of the unusual and odd.
