Burbur Sumsum
Bubur sumsum is one of the popular desserts in Bali that’s light on texture but big on flavour. Each serving is made up of mixed black and white rice pudding flavoured with coconut milk or cream and served with hot sticky syrup. Special varieties include banana slices.
Its sweetness makes this pudding a perfect after-meal treat. This black rice pudding isn’t just for dessert though since most locals also indulge on a cup or two of this during breakfast and snack time. Bubur sumsum is a perfect conclusion to your Balinese cuisine experience. |
