Disneyland Los Angeles

There are two Disneyland Resorts located in Anaheim, California. One is Disneyland Park and the other is Disney California Adventure Park. You can buy a multi-day ticket to explore both parks.

In Disneyland Park, don’t miss out the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction and Tomorrowland. For classic attractions, experience the musical boat ride, “It’s a small world”, the Pirates of the Carribean cruise and ghosts encounters at the Haunted Mansion. Don’t forget to watch Mickey’s Soundsational parade and the Fantasmic! evening Mickey show.

In Disney California Adventure Park, prepare to enjoy seven (7) thrilling lands namely Grizzly Peak, Buenavista Street, Guardians of the Galaxy, Cars Land, Pacific Wharf, Pixar Pier & Paradise Gardens Park.

In Grizzly Peak, the phenomenal rides are Grizzly River Run and Soarin’ around the World. This themed land is designed to replicate the 1950’s national park known as the Grizzly Peak icon. Another themed land is Buena Vista Street, a plaza replica of LA in the 1920s. It features a Red Car Trolley that shuttles the guests from the park’s entrance to another themed land, Guardians of the Galaxy. Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission Breakout! is an attraction that invites guests to go on a dark tower ride. This themed land is a depiction of Marvel Comics characters. Pixar Pier & Paradise Gardens Park are Victorian-inspired boardwalks by a waterfront. The delightful Pixar characters are featured in their rides. The Cars Land is a theme park based on the Pixar film, Cars and the real route 66. Lastly, Pacific Wharf’s main attractions are its cafes and a real bakery tour where you can eat fresh bread afterwards.

TIPS

Buy the exprees ticket to save lots of time on queing.
Buy tickets online to save time from queuing. If you buy a 3-day ticket or longer, you can avail of Magic Morning where you can enjoy one day of early admission. The days are selected though and commonly offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays.

Carefully choose the best time to visit since holidays and school breaks can have an effect on Disneyland’s schedules and queuing time might be longer than usual.
If you can, stay on Disneyland property for accommodation to enjoy an early hour access courtesy of Magic Morning for every day of your stay. Or you can opt to stay at a nearby accommodation. Reduced wait times are always welcome.
Arrive early, before the park opens so you’ll be one of the firsts to enter and save more time from queuing longer.
Travel light but if you can’t, rent a locker to avoid lugging around heavy bags.
Download the Disneyland Mobile App, it cuts waiting times by letting you view show schedules and listings ahead of time. You can also check out restaurant menus and use Maxpass, a system that allows you to reserve rides/shows thereby cutting waiting times for a fee.
Plan ahead and choose which attractions to prioritize.
Shop in the evening to travel light. Shops in Buenavista Street, Main Street USA and World of Disney have an extended hour after the parks close.
Save the shows later in the day when you need to rest your tired feet and maximize the early hours for catching rides.
Pack your own food and beverage to save money and maximize your time. Eat on the move or store your food in the locker. Make sure not to bring loose ice, dry ice or glass containers which security will not allow upon entering.
Plan ahead and make dinner reservations or eat during off-peak hours (10:30AM-12NN, 3PM-5PM).
Use the Mobile Order Service and pickup your food from the Mobile Order Window quickly.
Be prepared and bring sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, cellphone chargers and extra clothing in case you need to change when you get wet on water rides.
Find your spot and eat during parade and show waiting times.
Grab a park map, know when the different parks close and make sure to be in a queue so even if it’s already closing time, you can still enjoy a ride.
Wait times drop off in the evenings so you can enjoy the rides with shorter queues. You can even ride during show times since people are more busy watching the parades than lining up for a ride.
