Hollywood Boulevard

One of the popular touristy parts of Los Angeles is Hollywood Boulevard. There are several attractions to check out such as the Walk of Fame Stars, Chinese Theatre Courtyard, Exhibit at the Hollywood Wax Museum, Exhibit at Guinness and Exhibit at Ripley’s Odditorium in Hollywood.

It is exciting to spend time locating your favourite stars along the 1.3 miles Walk of Fame. These five-pointed stars are made of terrazzo and brass and are composed of names of actors, musicians, directors and fictional characters. Some fans pay homage by placing flowers and other significant tributes to their favourite stars.

Now, to see handprints, footprints and signatures of your favourite stars, make your way to the TCL Chinese Theatre Courtyard. For replicas and wax figures of legendary stars, you can head over to the Hollywood Wax Museum. To check out world records and engage in fun activities, drop by the Guinness Museum. Lastly, don’t miss out on discovering the amazing and strange exhibits in Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum.

For easy location of the names of your favorite stars on the Walk of Fame stretch, you can buy maps at tourist shops. You can also download an app in itunes.

Remember to look up and check the numbered banner signs so you can learn more interesting tidbits of the history of an area.

There are a lot of street performers dressed up as cartoon characters or film characters in the Boulevard. You can take pictures of them but it’s not for free. Prepare to give a tip (bring plenty of small bills) since this is a means of livelihood for them.

Don’t miss watching a show at the Chinese Theatre as it is the most elegant, ornate and historical theatre palace in the area. But make sure to select the show that will be viewed in the original theatre as there are several screens for movie showing.
Ripley’s Believe It or Not may be found in several cities but in Hollywood, you can take pictures with the fascinating replicas of the world’s tallest man and you can also play interactive games such as jumping and comparing with the world's record for the longest long jump.
You can purchase a Go Los Angeles Card, it offers plenty of attractions for a reasonable sum.
Make sure to check if there are movie premieres or celebrity appearances on your trip. You might just catch a glimpse of your favorite stars.
