Budleigh Salterton
Beach
About Budleigh Salterton BeachThe beach is 2 kilometres long and is the western start of the Jurrasic Coast. It is filled with pebbles over 400 million years old and at the eastern end of the beach you can find some of the most lush red and orange cliffs in all the UK.
The area is popular for families due to its calm waters which make it great for swimming. |
The Sandstone CliffsThe large Red sandstone cliffs found at the Eastern end of the beach date back over 240 million years. You can get yourself some great pictures here but like most places this stunning location is best captured during sunset as the sun hits the cliffs and turns them into the beautiful display you see in the picture above.
Nudist BeachThis beach is a nudist beach. If you are sensitive to nudity then this may not be the place for you. Having said that I saw no nudity when I visited. Probably because it's cold and I imagine this only happen s in the summer.
