About Durdle DoorDurdle Door is a part of the Jurassic Coast's world heritage site. Due to its uniqueness it is the most photographed attraction in all of Dorset and the Jurassic Coast.
How to Get thereGetting there is easy from the pay and display car park. Its roughly a 10 minute walk down the steep path and then just a few minutes down the 143 steps to the shingle beach.
Getting back up to the car park takes twice as long as the path is quite steep. Just leave a good 30 minutes before it gets dark and you will be fine. Good footwear is highly recommended. Tips...

The BeachThe beach is a shingle beach and is perfectly good for swimming as its protected by the famous arch. the waters are calm and very pleasant on a hot summers day.
There are no life guards on this beach so please always be aware of swimmers. ParkingThere is a large pay and display car park at the main entrance. Once parked it is a 10 minute walk down to Durdle Door.
Be aware, coming back up take at least twice as long. |
