Yardbird Southern Table & Bar |
It’s about honeyed tea and whirling holes, anterior porches, and sautéed chicken, magnolias and Moon Pies. The Yardbird has something more significant, it’s about being enthusiastic to your backgrounds; having a common sense of home, of custom, of kinfolk, hard work and each other. To the Yardbird, that should be general ideals. To that conclusion, they proudly present Yardbird Southern Table & Bar.
This southern restaurant is a house of veneration to farm-fresh ingredients, classic Southern cooking, culture, and hospitality. What they have faith in is a gallant effort indeed. So stop on by, take a chair and sample some made-from-scratch divinity. They are serving up the freshest, most imaginative take on provincial Southern fare seven days a week with a soul-healing' brunch on the weekends. In Yardbird, they will keep a place set for you. |

Miccosukee Restaurant |
This Native American run restaurant benefits from its earthly location directly across from the entrance to Shark Valley (Everglades) National Park. You could, after a two-hour visit to the park, stop in the Miccosukee Restaurant for lunch. There is a cozy casual atmosphere, and it is a good stop while out on a drive. You can also order a full BBQ gator if you want.
Most of the items are fried but there are also a few other items for those who are quite health conscious. There is tap water available that is fresh from the nearby springs, and if you're a big group it is actually pretty easy to find a seat. Service in the Miccosukee Restaurant is super-fast and all of the staff is friendly and cooperative. |

The Pit Bar-B-Q |
The Pit Bar-B-Q is an excellent choice if you want some good selection of classic South American food. You can go straight order the gator bites, which are fun to try the different choices and it is not that expensive for its serving size. The spicy sauce that accompanied the gator is certainly tasty and has some zing to it. It's a matter of knowing what to order and what goes with what you want in your next appetite, like any other place.
The establishment is not that fancy that you might expect and you should know that going in with the missing "B" on the BBQ sign and a name like "The Pit", it is only a front to their delicious meals so worry not. The staff are pleasing, focused and well-informed about the menu. Overall, your experience will be great and you will definitely go back. |
