The Avenue of Stars harbor walk is the equivalent of the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Hong Kong. Hence, the city’s nickname Hollywood of the East. Located in the Tsim Sha Tsui district, imagine you are walking along the Victoria harbor and then bump into the life-sized statue of Bruce Lee. Moreover, he is in one of his famous fighting stances. A picture next to this is priceless.

In addition to Little Phoenix, 73 other big names in the Hong Kong film industry have their names inscribed on tablets. 30 even have their hand prints added. Who knows your hand could be the same size as that of your favorite star. What will make your stroll more interesting are the movie-themed sculptures you pass by. The Avenue of Stars was built in 2003 by the New World Group and welcomed the public in April 2004. Their venture received the full support of tourism and film officials. Since then, it has become of the more popular stops for visitors to Hong Kong.

The Avenue of Stars measures 440 meters. So, it is a good idea to wear comfortable shoes while strolling along.
However, if you do get tired or just want to take a breather and admire the scenery then have a seat on any of the benches along it. Then again, if you are feeling energetic the Avenue of Stars is a popular jogging trail. Just because you are on vacation, does not mean you should skip a good run.
You can also time your visit to the Avenue of Stars at night. It is one of the best locations to watch the Symphony of Lights. The show starts at 8:00 PM and lasts for around fifteen minutes depending on the weather. It takes place every night. The Guinness Book of World Records recognized it as the biggest light show in the world. In case of inclement weather, cancellation is announced by 3:00 PM.
The Avenue of Stars is next to the following Hong Kong attractions: the Hong Kong Cultural Center, the Museum of Art, and the Space Museum.
October and November are the best months to visit the Avenue of Stars. At this time, Hong Kong weather is quite warm and more importantly, drier. So, you can stroll carefree without having to put on a thick jacket or struggle with an umbrella in the rain.
Visitors to the Avenue of Stars often arrive between daybreak and 10:00 AM.
