Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park is a 60-hectare cultural park located in Ungasan, Badung Regency. What GWK Cultural Park offers is lavish Indonesian cultural heritage. A monumental Garuda Wisnu Kencana Statue as the Indonesian Icon of civilisation, which is the number one cultural icon in Bali. This monument is a true icon of Balinese pilgrimage.
Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is the symbol of God Vishnu riding the great Garuda as his trusted companion. The statue is designed to be one of the world’s largest and highest monumental statues in the world. The total height of the statue is 120m, consists of 24 segments and formed with 754 modules made of copper and brass coated patina acid. With that said, the venue itself is simply amazing. If the ‘Pathway of the gods’ was a thing then this is it. There are simply so many features that this place has in store for you. The Lotus Pond, for example, is one of the main venues in the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park. It is the largest outdoor area with good access and has been well known for holding a number of prestigious world-scale events. Another venue at the park is the Indraloka Garden. The garden was named after the God Indra's heaven due to its amazing panoramic view. Indraloka Garden is one of the favourite venues in GWK Cultural Park for holding small to medium-sized events. Those who want something closer to home would definitely appreciate the Street Theater. Here is a site where visitors may find street show performances; this walk path also accommodates the culinary and Balinese souvenirs shopping desire of the GWK visitors. TIPS
