Gado- Gado
Gado gado is one of Bali’s most exotic food options - this dish is a plateful filled with a beautiful combination of fresh greens, meat slices, Tahu and Tempe, eggs and a delicious peanut sauce for the dressing.
No other dish screams “tropical” than Gado gado - it can be paired to any dish and can also be eaten on its own. The tangy and spicy flavours in peanut sauce make the mixed vegetables taste irresistible. Although Gado gado from fancy restaurants tastes just as good, you can often get a taste of the real thing from street side warungs. |

Warung Yogya |
Just like any typical warung, Warung Yogya doesn't have a lot to offer in the aesthetics department - there's nothing much except for a number of decent chairs and tables and a buffet area al fresco. But this simple warung has its own charm - the staff are welcoming and the food prices are considerably cheap.
Mouthwatering local dishes including Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng and satay are up for the taking - you'll be surprised at how big the servings are. Request for a fresh bowl of Gado Gado and ask for an extra serving of peanut sauce for added flavour. Warung Yogya is the place to be for the neophyte in Bali cuisine and for anyone who has a budget to consider. Despite its affordable meals, Warung Yogya definitely delivers. |
