Shopping
The beautiful island of Bali is all about the beach, the sights, the food and the shopping. Even though shopping in Bali isn't your very purpose in coming to the island, the plethora of products displayed in every shop and corner will surely make you indulge. The Bali shopping scene is beautiful evidence of the art and culture of this little paradise in Indonesia. Things to buy in Bali include carved jewellery, fine art pieces, wooden sculptures and fascinating handicrafts. In Bali, you'll find shops in both shopping spectrum - local shops and international stores cater to the tastes of various shopaholics. Bali's got it all - from fixed prices to great bargains, and from the authentic to genuine-looking fakes.
Art markets are the prime destinations for unique items and cute Balinese souvenirs including traditional Batik and fashionable bags. Come early to score some of the best deals. Bargaining is a fun game here but be sure you bring enough cash since many stores do not accept credit cards. If you're not a fan of haggling - which is perfectly acceptable in many Bali markets - you can always visit the enormous, air-conditioned malls. Flagship stores of different international brands can be found here.
Bali is definitely a shopping haven for both the budget shoppers and those who love to splurge. Brave the heat of the Bali sun and haggle all you can - it's a great part of the entire Bali shopping experience. Beachwalk Shopping CenterA place which offers a different Bali shopping experience, Beachwalk Bali reflects the island's laid-back vibe - the green spaces and the open areas in the store make the place exude the island's relaxing ambience. The water fountains, the beautiful garden and the sea breeze make Beachwalk Bali a delightful stop in the heart of Kuta.
