Getty Center
Getty Center is a massive 24-acre campus that holds an impressive collection of European art, expansive gardens, eye-catching sculptures and grand city views. Here are a couple of gems to watch out for: masterpiece paintings by Van Gogh, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet and Rembrandt to name a few. Outdoors, you can also feast your eyes on 28 contemporary sculptures. Another art to enjoy is the engrossing photograph collection in the Getty Museum. This has been carefully curated since the origin of photography. Now, for some nature art, stroll by Central Garden to appreciate the cactus garden, fountains, tree-lined pathways and a huge variety of plants carefully tended by 32 gardeners. You can also explore the Family Room containing five activity coves in Getty Center free of charge.
The Getty Center has Public Programs throughout the year that allows visitors to enjoy lectures, workshops, exhibits and free tours. Make sure to check their calendar to maximize your travel experience. Lastly, huge restaurant choices are available from elegant dining to food carts for visitors. You can also order a takeaway for a spontaneous picnic in the spectacular Getty Center grassy grounds. TIPS
