Hollywood Sign
The Hollywood sign is one of the most distinctive and most recognized signs around the world. It was created to be a real-estate advertisement that originally spelt as “Hollywoodland” but was left untouched due to its popularity. This sign became the symbol of Hollywood’s golden age of cinema.
The best view is through the Griffith Park Observatory. However, you can also make your way up by hiking any of these four trails: Brush Canyon Trail, Hollyridge Trail, Innsdale Drive or Burbank Peak Trail. Another option would be hiking through the Bronson Trail Canyon entrance to Griffith Park. If you plan to hike, bring some comfortable shoes, clothes and plenty of water. The miles can range from 3 to 6.4 but if you don’t fancy the trek, you can also take the free shuttle ride sometimes offered by the LA Department of Recreation and Parks. You can check the shuttle schedule at the Hollywoodsigns.org. TIPS
